GunKeeper catalogues your own firearm collection for insurance and records, on iPhone, iPad and Android. Photograph a firearm and its serial number: the serial is read on your phone, the AI suggests the make and model, and you confirm and save. Export a spreadsheet or a PDF insurance report at any time.

Where is my data kept?
On your device. On iPhone and iPad it can also sync through your own private iCloud (More → Backup); on Android, Android backup keeps your records and small photos, and a backup file (More → Backup) keeps everything. GunKeeper has no accounts and never receives a copy of your records. See the Privacy Policy for details.
My collection isn't showing on my other Apple device
Check both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID with iCloud Drive on, and that iCloud sync is on in More → Backup on each. Open GunKeeper on both; the Status line under iCloud sync should say Up to date. Syncing only happens while the device is unlocked.
The serial number was read wrong
Stamped metal is hard to read. Get close, avoid glare from overhead lights, and tilt the phone slightly so the stamping casts a shadow. GunKeeper shows every likely reading under the serial field; tap the right one, or type it.
AI identification says I've reached a limit
To keep the service affordable, each device can make 25 AI identifications a day, and there's an hourly limit too. You can always fill in the details by hand.
How do I export my collection?
More → Export. Spreadsheet (CSV) opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. Insurance report (PDF) lists every item with its photo, serial number, markings and value.
Moving to a new Android phone
On the old phone, More → Save backup file, and keep the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone (Google Drive, email to yourself, or a cable). On the new phone, install GunKeeper, then More → Restore from backup file.
How do I delete everything?
Delete items in the app, or delete the app itself. To remove the iCloud copy too: Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → GunKeeper.
